Too good to be true - VStar with 6900 miles $2K

2007 YAMAHA V-STAR 1100

Disclosure: I am not selling this bike and have no connection to the seller. In fact, I kinda suspect some kind of scam or 'hidden gotcha'...

2007 Vstar 1100 in excellent running condition? Inspected with clean title? Photos look great? $2,000!!!???

Am I right to think this is nearly too good to be true? The cynical part of me wonders what's actually wrong with it. Not worth my time to go see it (not in the market for one, even at that price), but I have to wonder.

I'm -nearly- tempted to go buy it just to flip it quick. Could probably get $1,000 more for it pretty fast 'round here.

I'd be a bit cautious as well cj. That's a very low price for what the condition it claims to be in.

A little underpriced but I don't think suspiciously so - These bikes don't have much in the way of resale.

Yup....since it's been sitting it's entire life...it's most likely going to need tires, fluids and other maintenance stuff.

With that said.....as far as pricing in my area, it would most likely bring below $3,000. So....if it needs the above listed maintenance items....you may be able to make a small profit if you do all the work yourself. However....the last 1100 I saw sold for around $2450.... so you might be prepared to make nothing at all.....

At this point in time.....the market is super soft on all cruisers, and especially V Stars.

One thing about it, a good V star that has been taken care of will last a long time.

What I'd wonder about is a one year full warranty! Unless they bought the bike and have one that is transferable.

I like to read the craigs list motorcycle section to see what bikes are going for.

When you dont need a bike, thats when you find the $2k deals... usually listed with "stepfather just passed away.. this was his bike... dont know anything about it..."
