Driver Backrest

I'm picking up a 2011 950 Tourer in the next week or so, so I am looking at things to do to customize it. So much fun. Anyway, I am looking at the Grasshopper driver's backrest. I've been trying to find one by Yamaha because I'd like it to match the passenger backrest, but I'' not having any luck. Do you all know if Yamaha makes one?

Thanks,

Joshua

I do not know if Yama makes one. I went with the Mustang rider and passenger seat with rider backrest. I love it. Adjustable, easy to remove, folds out of the way when mounting the bike.

I thought I had come across one at one point on ebay. Just found this expensive one. It looks non-adjustable.

Thanks for the input. I've looked at most of the aftermarket ones. I like the debosssd star logo on the oem passenger backrest and was hoping there was an oem driver's to match. I'll probably go with this one if there isn't...

I have their 2013 parts and accessories catalog and they do not show one being available.

I got one of the aftermarket ~$70 ones off amazon for my VS650

had to mangle the bracket to get the seat back where I wanted it
and had to take the passenger seat off (would not go back on) but I never used that anyway.

It makes a huge difference on a ride of more than 30 minutes having something you can lean back into, even just a little bit.

And the first time at 60mph I was surprized how much the wind pushes you back into the backrest.

Whichever one you get, its money well spent.
