Cool Passenger boardís alternative

I donít know if anyone else was like myself, looking to put Yamaha passenger boards on my 2012 v950, but found it was a bitch to determine what adapters & brackets are needed & never mind the freaking cost.

Anyway I fell in to a deal at a local shopís clearance table.

Found a set of brand new Honda 08U65-MFY-100A for a 2010 Sabre, Interstate and Stateline, this is the P/N & description on the box.. These bolted right on, NO mods required AT ALL, using the hardware included in the box..

They are sturdy they, look great on the bike, they even have a V on the bottom of them when folded up, and most importantly wife loves em.

If you come across a set cheap get em.

Just my two cents.

Wow! Thanks for the tip. I need (read; "she won't ride without") passenger boards for my new 1300 tourer. OEM price was steeper than I wanted to pay so was looking at third party units. I can save about $100 with these. Looking at yours my only question is whether or not they are too long to work with my bags. Fortunately, my son has a VTX1800 WITH rear boards. I'll take one of his off and see if it works on mine. Thanks again for the tip.

YammaMass... we need a sticky for tips such as this, or do we have one somewhere?

Actually i ordered a pair of Viking overlord bags & try just came in. So tonight i plan to put them on temporarily, until my Easy Brackets come in next week.

So I will try to post how they fit with the boards.

With Bags on

here is a pic of the boards with the new bags & Easy brackets installed. Fitment is great, we took the time to have my wife sit on the bike so we could position them where they were most comfortable for her & didn't interfere with her feet on the rear boards.

Happy, happy.

It is a Yamaha part, i got it when i bought the bike. I think that it is part of the quick detach back rest.

Dang why do motorcycle accessories cost so much? Looks like there is plenty of room for those Honda boards though. And I like the way they look when folded.

No kidding, shits expensive. we were prepared to pay up for a stock set, but found these by chance at a local bike shop's clearance table & they had a vstar 95 out front where i could check to see if they'd fit...Couldn't pass em up.

Wife's happy, so you know how that goes.
