Welcome to both of you!

Post up some pics of your rides, and tell us a little about yourself and your history with bikes.

@Miesha .. I have been riding since I was 16 years old. Took about a 33 year hiatas as I got out of riding in the late 70's. 2 years ago sat on a Honda Shadow Aero 750 at a dealer and just had to have it. Had that for 14 months and knew I needed to upgrade. So traded the Aero in on a VStar 1300 Tourer last August. Absolutely love it. Just starting to get together an accessory list for this spring and will try to get some pictures up in the future.

I see you have Yamaha passing lamps on your bike. That is one of the options I am considering but the price is keeping me from pulling the trigger. Do you have any pics of your bike showing the passing lamps on it?

Thanks M. Welcome to you also. I am currently working on upgrading my stock 09 950. Looking for pipes, road bars, grips and handlebars. Wanting to go with ape hangers and not quite sure what will look best. Limited funds are a bastard. Was thinking 12" apes b/c my stocks bars are so wide I MAY not have to change out cables. Any input is welcome.

Shopped those passing lamps since I got the bike in August. Saved a search on CL and eBay. Got the lamps, turn signals and a road STAR bar/mount as a package deal with a windshield for $100.

Found the correct bar about a week ago for under $20. Put it all together while watching Super Bowl and it looks great!

There is almost no way I would have added the bar and lights for the $300 range retail cost. But I only plan to use the windshield and passing lamp setup during the winter months when the wind is freezing without the shield and it gets dark so early.

I really like the look of this bike without either accessory - it's just really long and sleek with the rear fender stripped clean, the seat pan modded, the floorboards moved forward and the previous turn signals pulled in tight.
