07 V-Star Silverado saying hello

How's it goin everyone.

I purchased my V-Star 650 Silverado back in 2010 as my first bike and it made me fall in love with riding. After a bad stator coil put it out of commission in early 2012, I purchased a 2012 Victory Cross Country, but couldn't bring myself to get rid of the old 650. Now, 6 years later, I'm rebuilding and bobbing the old V-Star.

I'm joining the forum to join a community of riders, to look for assistance and advice, and to hear about other bikes and experiences.

Ride safe everyone!

Having a stator fail on a Vstar 650 is pretty rare.

On some bikes, like the original Goldwings, the failure rate over time is 100% for the stator.
