Hey

Hey, just picked up a 2005 V Star 1100. Just waiting for the snow to melt!

Cool deal. Use the time to do complete inspection and maintenance. I found out no matter how maintained a bike is, there is usually something missed.
When I bought mine, the person always had a motorsport shop do the oil changes and seasonal maintenance.
What they missed was front rotor had hairline cracks, loose bolts, screws on turn indicator lenses had missing screws, kickstand and linkages needed lubed, rear spoke was missing, lubed final drive.
Just little things like that add up.

Welcome to the forum. I'm also waiting for the snow to melt. Had mine out for it's first run today (-2C so I didn't go far). Won't be long until the warmer weather arrives!

We love pics here so post one of your new ride when you get a chance!

In the process of checking it over. Planning on a pod kit, just installed important things like stereo and cell phone mount.
