Hello

Hello all. Introducing myself, 1 to introduce myself, but 2 so I can post about an issue im having with a friends bike. I personally do not own a vstar, but I have 1 if everything else I think. I have Honda's, a Suzuki, Harley's, and some customs. I've been working on cars, boats, bikes and airplanes for 35+ years. I had my A&P license as well as my IA and worked as an aircraft mechanic for about 7 years. Now I'm an electronics tech and have been for almost 25 years. Motorcycles are my hobby, riding, working on and building, as well as some other hobbies.

interesting you never got a Yamaha

they had the #1 plate for motorcross and enduro riding for a long time

and Consumer Reports puts Vstar bikes at the top of the list for reliability

and you dont have one

......yet :^)

Welcome from Houston, Texas. You will find that many found their way here by owning a Yamaha (but not now) or like you trying to fix one. Most have stayed due to knowledge and friends made here. So pull up a chair and stay a while. If you post your questions in the appropriate thread you will get more exposure and responses. Here's a few interesting threads to check out when you get a chance.

Oh no, I have had yamaha's as well, had a 87 virago 1100. I was just talking about the 12 bikes I currently have, not what I've had over the years 😃 I'm sure I will have another Yamaha too!!
