Hello

Hi i am new to the site. I just bought a 01' 1100 classic.
Have been riding bikes in southern Wisconsin almost
50 years. Have owned all Honda until now, last being
1800 vtx. I get a lot of satisfaction working on my bike.

Just ran into a charging problem.
Will take me a little to get used to the site
Was on shadow riders and vtx cafe in the past

Thanks is sure is nice (except it stopped charging this week)
It does have 30,000 miles.
I have learned from this site how to remove rectifier/test
and test the stater as well. Unfortunately for me the problem is
intermittent. That's ok i enjoy working on it and spit shining as i go!

Did check the rectifier and was ok. While i had out checked the stater at the
plug and resistance was good. Checked to the ground also and no short.
(stater to the ground cable)
I do need to check the ground yet. I did order a rectifier from amazon for $14.
Before you shun me i will say i was going to make sure that was it before i bought
a good one. I will do the 05 thing when i do. That has been a common thing
i have seen on this site. Thank you everyone for input. I am having a blast learning
about this bike.
