Throttle popping

new to the bike world well getting back into it. just got a 2003 Yamaha V Star 1100 classic. The bike idles great but when I give it gas at higher rpm in neutral it pops and at idle one pipe is not getting hot

sounds like a cab problem. since it's running you can try a heavy dose of berrymans b12 carb cleaner. if you have some mechanical knowledge and a lot of patience, pull the carbs and clean the jets and passages. check the link below my signature it has all the info you need for your 1100.
