New and already have a problem

Hi All

I have just gotten myself a white XVS650, 2004 model.

I have ridden it a few times and loved it. Except for the odd clutch positions. I am a new rider, in Australia and did all of my initial riding on bikes with a far less extreme friction point.

Anyway, had a go at doing something about this and seem to have made it worse than ever (in that the clutch no longer engages at all) but that might be a story for another thread...

Welcome to the forum. I think the issue with your bike is that you didn't post a pic of it yet. I'm sure that once you do that and check out our Vstar forum, all will fall into place .

Ride safe and keep it shiny side up.

New and already have a problem

Welcome to the forum!

As Corsair noted, "pics are the fix" for everything.

Some background info about yourself always helps too.

Once you undo whatever you did recently, Mike's recommendation is the ticket. Search "clevver" in the forums and you'll find many long descriptions of what to expect (including several from me).

What part of Down Under are you in? I went to a boarding school there, many moons ago. In a town called Warwick in Queensland.
