New guy from sooner territory

Hey guys...... My name is Jason.

I have been lurking here for a few weeks..... reading and learning, and thought that it was time for a proper introduction.

I am 31, married to a wonderful woman, and have two of the most beautiful, awesome little girls that anyone could ever ask for.

I have wanted a motorcycle since I was about 16, but for one reason or another had never gotten one(I think mainly because i would rather save money than spend it).

Anyway.... a couple of weeks ago I wandered into the motorcycle section of craigslist..... and was instantly bitten.... I mean I'm not getting any younger right??? If I keep putting it off I'll end up dying a crotchety, bitter old man just because I never bought a bike..... and who wants to end up like that??

So it began.... my relentless search for the right bike..... it really only came down to three. I went to look at the one that i was really interested in and fell in love with it....... but i would have walked away from the deal (that whole save vs spend thing)..... but as luck would have it my wonderful wife has listened to me cry about wanting a bike for the last seven years and was having no more of it.

Long story short.......Said wonderful wife forced me to purchase the bike.....now life is really fun.

Oh... what did I get you ask??? a 2004 Yamaha Vstar 1100 Silverado.... and she is beautiful.

I was able to ride her home..... and the next day it was freezing cold and raining

So I am enjoying the ride, and the forum.... learning and getting comfortable on a bike again.

The only problem is that none of my friends have bikes.... so I have nobody to ride with....maybe this place can help me with that problem too.

Sorry for the long story...... happy to meet all of you, and i look forward to many hours spent here.

Jason

Welcome Jason!

Perfect intro too! Full back-story. Pictures (well, one). The full Monty really

Beautiful bike - I've never seen that two-tone color before.

Who is Amy Reynolds and why is her name on the pic of your bike? Wait, did you already hire a professional photographer for a full-on photo shoot of your bike??? Man, you really are hooked!

i lose count, how many times has OU been to the BCS title game in the past decade?
or maybe you're referring to just the TX/OU rivalry games in which OU is behind on that as well. Texas currently leads 59435. guess math isn't a strong point with OU fans.
