Bay Area newbie

Hey all,

I just bought a 2004 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Silverado as my first bike, and am LOVING it.

I'm looking to change out the handlebars (back to stock, but internal wiring), and install forward controls.

Welcome Reverse-On!

Forward controls are an easy and inexpensive mod for the 1100. Check out "Scootmods" for several options.

Post up some pics and we might tell you how to get handlebars for free!

Oh Damn, I just bought some forward controls from here ( www.MotorcycleEnhancements.com). They look nice, but are twice as much as scootmods.

I attached some pictures of my bike. I have a beach handlebar on there now, but since I'm over 6' tall, this hurts my back by having to reach out and so close. I have the stock handlebars that I was going to try installing tomorrow, but always looking for something a little different if I can find it.

Ah, should probably be more specific. I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area (where it's nice to ride all year long )

Tisk tisk tisk.

See, if you'd posted pics earlier you could have had the Scootmods advice AND free bars.

No one ever listens.......
