Welcome to the forum jseeber. Could you rephrase your question? Not sure if your asking if it is rev limited, why or where/what range. In the mean time, tell us more about yourself, where your from, what size Star you have, any trips you've been on...

Ride safe and keep it shiny side up.

A few things added and more stuff to follow

howdy. feel free to vote for bike of the month and submit your own for voting

and please take our census

you should have a rev limiter for all your gears. if you especially notice it in just 1st and 2nd gear then you probably have a multiple stage ignition module. multiple stage ignition modules offer greater RPM limit control. the first stage can be used to limit RPM levels when launching a vehicle from a stationary position, providing maximum power and traction. the second stage is activated after launch to set a higher RPM limit for wide-open-throttle acceleration. the purpose of the rev limiter in general is to protect the engine from damage from reaching too high RPMs.
