My darling wife bought me a brand new 950 V-Star for our anniversary. This will be my second V-Star. The first was a 650 and ended up totaled under a guardrail. (the driver of the car that caused it confessed guilt to the cop) Now if the weather will ever warm enough to melt the snow and ice on my street and in my driveway I can bring it home. We have a short, intense riding season in Alaska and spring is a little late in coming this year.
Welcome to the forum Bob. Glad to here that your ok and have a great wife. You have joined the best Star forum on the interweb and you'll soon find out it has the best people around. Lots of knowledge and fun to be found. Tell us about yourself, share stories and where you ride. Oh and post some pics of your ride and if you have some from the past, post them to.
Well first welcome to the forum! Wow you really are lucky, my wife will not even look at my bike. Seriously I'm glad you're ok and stay safe once it warms up, up there! I was in AK last summer. It is really beautiful but I don't think I could stand the winters.(or the short riding season).
Some time in April to some time in Sept is normal, depending on how cold you don't mind being. There is still 2 feet of snow in my yard and a few inches of packed snow and ice still on my street, so this year we are starting a little later.
