New Royal Star owner in Maine

Hiya,
I am buying a '98 Royal Star from a colleague - the bike is beyond immaculate as he tears it down and returns everything to spec, each winter! (I think his garage/shop may be neater than my house) Lovely red color with custom graphics, driving lights, nice bags, nice chrome accessories and chrome package rack. I'm going to use the one-up "solo" seat as it looks VERY sharp in that configuration. 38K miles but the bike looks as if it came out of a showroom, yesterday - simply a beautiful, beautiful bike.

Sold two Harley Davidson Sportsters this spring as, although they're fun bikes (on the sporty side of riding), they're like riding a vibrator with wheels - not to mention fairly frequent "issues" (read: trips to the mechanic). I do look forward to riding my Royal Star as I rode BMW's several decades ago and always loved the driveshaft configuration over the rougher-riding/higher maintenance chain drive. I'll post pics of my new bike in another couple of weeks... Safe riding, y'all!

Thanx, Sugar Bear - it's a real honey of a bike... I'll have to ride it for a while to decide what to name it and whether it's a her or a him ;-)

My *new* 1998 Royal Star

Thanx, Taboo365,
My two biggest decisions will be: what to name her/him and do I keep him/her the same color? Since the bike is a *nice* red, I may just change the graphic on the tank (previous owner was a fireman) and be happy with that... As for naming, that may take a while and a few miles...
