repair or replace forks

I bought bike as is had been wrecked left side. After replacing footpeg and sraighting shift lever rides well for dead forks what are my options? And is there easy or cheaper than dealers??

There's several places to shop. This forum turned me onto partzilla.com, and ive shopped Amazon a few times. You can also shop this forum's classifieds, and vstar section. I personally saved $40 on a headlight bucket for my 950t by using partzilla. For dead forks some seals may be needed. Its worth some time to shop around. I'd purchase a repair manual if you don't already have one. Hope this helps somewhat.
