Hello!

I'm Andy from the UK, I own a 650 V-Star Classic (US Import from The Beehive State) I, like most I assume, am here to gain and share info about our bikes
Edit: A little bit more... I'm not all that mechanically minded at the moment but am improving, I do the basic things such as oil, air filter, plug changes. I've got the Clymer service manual for the bike and I've learned a great deal from it. I suppose it's just a matter of building up confidence! I ride all year round and don't drive.

G'Day Duby and welcome, I am one of the few Colonials on here. It is a great forum with a stack of info. I too own a 650 Classic (98') and I have gained a stack of knowledge over the last 12 months I've been on. Hope you enjoy your ride!

Hidy from Alabama.
Welcome aboard!

Great bike there. Just one thing though, especially if you ride full year in your climate.
I'd take the time to inspect the drive shaft splines (shaft to coupler to pinion). Simple work and grease is cheap insurance (he says as his is rigged together after being stripped).

Thanks all! Ok, I don't mind admitting I had to look in the book to find out what that was, I'll keep it in mind, thanks

I did not know it was fish oil based.... Learning heaps already.
