New From IL

Here is the new toy.

2009 yamaha v star 1300 Tourer
Picked it up with 8385 miles. Which I think is pretty low miles for an 09.
Loaded with everything I would have ever done to the bike so I am more than pleased. Looks gorgeous, sounds amazing, and performs flawless.

Mods that I have found after looking at it are as follows:
Highway Crash bar
Aftermarket front floor boards, heel toe shifter, and brake pedals are all aftermarket, rear pegs as well.
Front light bar that is on all the time, even with the high beam on.
Bag guards
Cobra Exhaust
Power Commander V
ISO Grips w/ palm rest
Chrome brake reservoir cover
Chrome Horn cover
Chrome brake and clutch levers
Russell Stainless braided clutch and brake lines

This thing is loaded in my book and I love it. I got it for $6500 and it booked for $6800. So with all the extras on it, I personally think I did well for a low mileage loaded up bike.

And here is a picture of the bags half way through detailing since I am such a clean freak when it comes to detailing. You can easily tell which one I cleaned and treated...

Looks great. Sweet deal. Looks like you have plenty of wide open space to ride, too!

I agree with sparkn, nice ride! What do you use on the bags to clean and treat them?

I live in Peoria, but the bike is kept in Dixon at my dads. I hope to be moving to Sterling in a few months I hope!

I mainly use Adam's Polishes products to clean all my stuff. The stuff I used on my bags is called SVRT. Super Vinyl Rubber Trim dressing. Its water based not silicone or oil based so it doesn't sling or leave a greasy nasty finish. I love it!

For the most part its an online store. They make products anyone can use. Thats the great thing about their stuff. the website its www.adamspolishes.com.

Another company that I am probably going to switch to since the chemist from Adams moved to this other company is Surf City Garage. Here is that same trim dressing but from SCG.

I still prefer the SVRT from Adams, but I have been detailing for a whole now and its just personal choice. I think its more universal.
