Greetings from Marysville, WA!

Greeting fellow Star riders!

Early last summer I picked up my 'Liner and have checked out these forums on occasion for hints and tips on keepin' my ride running well. Recently, I've started getting my ride geared up and wanted to take on some mods so I thought it would be a good time to introduce myself and my bike.

Until a couple of years ago, I had really not been too big into motorcycles outside of occasionally borrowing a buddy's bullet bike or dirt bike, but my father-in-law's love of Star motorcycles finally gave me the itch to own my own cruiser.

I started off with a '93 Virago 1100 a couple of summers ago:

but my 260lb, 6'0" frame didn't mesh well with the Virago frame so I started looking for a new ride last summer, and the bike of my dreams showed up at the local Yammy stealership:

'09 Roadliner S, California Edition. When I saw this bike, my wallet jumped out my pocket and into the waiting arms of the salesman. I've been in love with this ride ever since.

Late last year and into this year I've been slowly getting her ready for some light touring, and now she's just about where I like her (until I find the need for my chrome, gadgets, etc... of course!):

Thanks for taking a look, and happy riding!

Two nice bikes. I started with a '96 750 Virago and moved to a Roadliner.

Thanks for the welcomes!

Yup, the 'Liner is red...well I call it "Crimson" to match my alma mater (University of Phoenix and University of Utah...go UTES!).

I really liked my Virago 1100, but two-up with the wife was a little scary given with just me on it I was past the recommended load limit (195, hehe I wish!). I ended up giving that one to a fellow rider who was in desperate need of a new ride and he's enjoying it thoroughly.

Now that I'm on the 'Liner I don't have any regrets giving away the Virago. I'll ride this red beast until the wheels fall off, then I'll get another one!

Welcome to the 4M!

The red roadies are starting to look real nice to me lately. The picture of yours is dam sweet. I'm a sucker for bike pictures with lakes, rivers, ocean etc in the background, have a similar one of mine on here somewhere too. Is that a gray bike in the background or a block of concrete? Don't matter, no difference! But I do love my blue Strato just a bit more. Plus blue bikes are faster as we all know.

Great gift for your friend in need, good on ya!
