Another new guy! Iowa!

Hi my name is Billy and I am new to everything about this. I am new to forums, yamaha, motorcycles, and riding in general. I recently purchased my first bike. I bought a used 2001Yamaha 650 Classic. I love it sooo much. But I am not a fan of the things that were not told to me from the guy that I bought it from. Things that need fixed. I am here for 2 reasons. 1: to become a part of the Yamaha and motorcycle family. 2: to post in forums to get help in these things that I am so new to. Thanks for having me and enjoy the ride!

Welcome from another Iowa member! Where in Iowa are you at? I am in Ankeny. Wife and I just got a new V-Star 950. Enjoy the ride.

Hi Billy, welcome to the forum. You've joined the best forum to learn about your bike and the yammy family. We love pic's here, so share a few with this, and things that need fixing. You can also post your questions in the vstar section. Loved my 650 previous to my current 950t. Great mileage, handling, and fairly easy to work on. Everyone is happy to help, so ask away and ride safely.

Yea like Keith said. Welcome from southwestern PA. I'm sure you'll get the answers you are looking for here. If yer new to this then you may want to consider a BRC course. Good luck and good riding to ya.

And welcome from the Netherlands, too! A great ride indeed, sorry to hear about having to fix things. OTOH, it is a great learning experience.

Kind regards, Wim

Feel free to post often and if you need some info just let me know.
