V-Star 1300 owner

Hi all, new to the forum and hoping to get some technical help!!
I am looking for plans to help me make a tow hitch for my V-Star 1300 (XVS 1300 Midnight Star in the UK!!) Tow hitches are not readily available in the UK for anything other than Goldwings and Harleys. I know I can buy one in the States but the postage cost and import tax makes it very expensive. So, I am hoping to get one made - I have a friend with a computer controlled laser cutter which he uses on stainless steel, so it should be relatively easy to make a tow hitch..........................but I need plans with the all the sizes on it!!
Can anyone help????
