Hi from Austin, TX

Hello everyone - found this forum as I was researching some changes to my bike, thought I'd join. I rode a Suzuki GS-300 when I was in college, but sold it before moving to Austin. Was riding a Vino scooter for a few years, decided to upgrade in Spring 2011. I'm riding a vStar 650 Custom - sometimes I wish I was on a bigger bike, but I do love it! I commute most days, and get some weekend rides in, too. Put nearly 10k miles on it during the first year.

Anyhow, glad to 'meet' everyone, hope y'all stay safe and upright!

-PD

Thanks, Bevo - great looking bike you got there, I'll be sure to say hi if I see you out on it. Planing a run out to Marble Falls the morning of July 4...going early to try to avoid this heat!

Welcome, from another fellow Austinite!

On a motorcycle, suddenly you comprehend the wrongness of speed..."We are running way too fast!" your primal brain screams. "How did this even happen?! ARE WE FALLING?"
And then your rational brain glances in the rear view mirror and says "Speed up, man, this is a school zone: You have to do at least 20 mph."

Welcome to the forum. A pic or two of your ride would be nice; we like pics here.

Ride safe and keep the rubbers down.
