New to me, new to board, lots of learning needed...

Hi everyone,
Recently retired so I bought myself a '06 Road Star. Joined to learn the maintenance needs.......

Is it allowable to ask if 20/50 is recommended in this hot weather?

Welcome to the 4M.

In this hot weather it is recommended to stay hydrated, I prefer cold beer over 20W50.

Welcome to the forum. Don't be shy and tell us more about yourself. If you live near the arctic circle then I would use 10W30 but thats just me .

ride safe and keep it shiny side up.

Oh and post some pics. We like pics

I have changed my oil back and forth a couple times and i haven't noticed a difference in anything. Then again, my weather extremes here aren't too far apart. I've learned to put more thought & effort into making sure i change the oil at proper intervals rather than worry about the differences in oils. My 2 cents.
