Hey ya'll from San Antonio/Tx Hill Country Area

Hey ya'll! I'm DQ.. Finally got back on a bike after a 16 year void. Got myself a steal of a deal on a 1997 Royal Star from a Harley dealership that was more than happy to unload that trade in!
Rode it home and over the last 5 months i've been riding it daily and spending some weekends fixing the issues caused by neglict. I ain't skeered, the repairs and upkeep keep me busy, and if something is gonna fail.. it's gonna happen out there on the road. Like I said.. 5 months now.. and i've racked up over 7K miles on it.
I'm looking to keep it going as it had 51K miles when brought it home. Runs very strong and smooth. I really can't ADD anything to it really, it has every freaking piece of Star accesories they offered when it was new. I just want to do something with the exhaust.. too quiet. Needs a few things to bring it where I want it, new windshield and real spotlights. Otherwise, it's "perfect"!
The photo is from a few days after I brough her home.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure we can help you find "other" things to add to your bike .

Ride safe and keep it shiny side up.
