Hello from the Southwest

Been lurking around here for awhile and decided to join. Hope to learn a lot about the Star bikes. Currently not riding - crushed my right ankle in a layover back in July and can't wait to get back in the saddle.

Welcome aboard What particular Star bike are you looking at?

I'm talking to the dealer about a 2012 V-Star 950 Touring model. They're willing to let me test ride it and have given me a pretty good deal. The V-Star is on my short list, but I'd like to check out the (dare I say it?) Suzuki Boulevard C250 Classic. Geez, I wish I could take one out for a test. I've been in casts and what they call a 'moon boot' since July. Lots of hardware in my ankle that needs to be removed in the next few weeks. With all those bolts and screws in there let's just say I'm avoiding magnets like the plague.
