Hello from NC

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum, but not to forums in general. I've been a member of the Honda Shadow forum for a long time, but I just traded my shadow on a beautiful new 2012 V-Star 950 Tourer. I love this bike!!! Anyway I rode as a teen and then took a 25 year break. Bought a shadow over the summer and outgrew it so I got my star. Looking forward to trading stories and info. If anyone lives near me let me know. Maybe we can go for a ride sometime.

Hi

Hi I'm brand new to the forum as well. Also I'm been away from motorcycles for about 30 years. Stopped to raise a family, but I just started riding again and I can't believe how much fun it is. I'm just starting out so it still only parking lots and back roads.

Thanks guys, I learned a lot about my shadow on the shadow forum so as soon as I got the star I went looking for a place like this. The bike is incredible and it seems a learn some new little thing about it each day. Stuff the dealer didn't tell me about like self canceling blinkers, low fuel light, but no reserve, the seat comes off with a key!!! My last seat was a PIA to get off and back on. I know these are little silly things, but they are nice surprises.

Just put the battery tender pigtail on my bike. I am so amazed how much simpler this bike is to work on. I had like four different ways to route the cable!!
