looking for your input

Looking to mod my 2010 vstar 950, have kicked around the idea of either making the rear wheel to a 240 or going with the low and mean rear full wrapped Fender. Also thinking getting the 6 degree angle triple trees. Feel free to kick in some ideas.

What you have planned sounds good to me. I don't know much about the 950 mechanically, so I can't offer any input as to how hard those mods would be. Check out Bevo's 950, very nice bike. I'm sure he'll be along shorty to give you some good tips.

I have a 2012 I want to mod. I was going to put a slim rear fender on but after markets are hard to come by. Only like universal fenders work that you would have to mount yourself (which wouldn't be too bad.)

But because of my lady I'm going to keep the stock fender and just relocate the license plate and the turn signals(I think they look hideous)

Here is a axle license plate holder if you are interested. I don't know if it fits though but it is the only one that looks like it would fit our frame.

Some universal steel rear fenders

This is a good site for like bars and I think a lowering kit as well. Cables etc.

if you want a 240 then you will have to replace the entire back end. you're looking at least $1,000 for that customization. here's a website that might get you started if you want to go this route:

the biggest tire you can probably put on without upgrading the back end is probably a 200. on the stock wheel, Yamaha mechanics say the biggest tire that will fit is probably a 180.
