Thinking of making a move

My wife and I have come to the conclusion that we need a change in scenery; she is from NC and has been in Idaho about 10 years, I am an Idaho native of 52 years.

We are actually thinking of making the move to VA somewhere, we have been doing some research on crime rates, education, and VA seems to rate toward the top, low crime rates, rates high in education (we have to kids) and lots of miles of high rated riding roads my wife has been to the area, I never have, sooooooooo, if there are any VA riders out there,, hereís a question for you all, if you were thinking of making a move to your state, where would you like to call home, yes you can throw some out of state jokes, I can take it, but hey maybe someday we can go on a ride together.

Roanoke is home for me , a beautiful place, surrounded by blue ridge mountains, parkway and many country scenic areas to ride. About 6 hours to coast.

Not there now but lived 6 years in Charlottesville, right up the road from mile post 0 on the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive. More expensive there, smaller but sweet community and a lot of history.

I'll probably have to go with vstar23 though when it comes to living areas, Roanoke is one place I spent a lot of time and always loved it.

Richmond is a high crime area, or was when I was there, But closer to the coast. Virginia Beach is decent but I preferred to go there and not live there.
