The last trip my buddy and I did on the Blue Ridge Parkway, we stopped for the night at the Waynesville Inn Golf Resort and Spa for our hotel stay and are we ever glad we did. They have good rooms at excellent rates (especially for the NC mountains), and their breakfast is a full sit down breakfast with custom cooked omelettes to start, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage (links and patties), biscuits, gravy, grits, breads, muffins, toast, bagels, several juices, lots of hot coffee, fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, and I'm sure some things I've forgotten. Wifi is a bit spotty, but phone reception is fine.
While we were there, in the office they had piles of brochures on things to see in the mountains nearby and my buddy spied a brochure on NC Smokies Motor Touring. It lists many drives of varying lengths (from an hour or so to all day) especially suited to motorcycles. I noticed we had driven many of these roads before and they have done an EXCELLENT job at identifying and labeling these rides just for us motorcyclists. You can get a copy (download) by going here: Motorcycle Rides in The Smoky Mountains | Blue Ridge Parkway
. There they have a link to a downloadable pdf file you can print out. The pdf is too large to load here.
If you ever plan on coming to the NC Mountains, look this up first and get ready to ride some very exciting roads!
****EDIT**** The link to the pdf seems to have disappeared from the Haywood County site, so I uploaded it to Scribd for others to see. Give it a try here: https://www.scribd.com/document/3535...cle-Rides-2016
