Nice PIC's Dan, the snow turns my stomach, but the bike looks all ready for the first spring ride

Beautiful Bike.

That is a beautiful bike. I'm jealous of that snow? Send some our way will you. We are going through week long heat wave here on the east coast of Australia. Can't sleep, even the pools bloody warm. But seriously, that is one very nice motorcycle and riding in the snow must be a new experience.

Snow

Still thinking of that snow at nearly 2.00am and I can't sleep with this heat, aircon and all. We had a candle on a table in the back garden that now looks like it needs viagra to get it going again, and it aint a skinny candle, the heats bent him right over. We've had cyclone's and floods up north, floods down south and bushfire alert where we are, come on autumn.

Couldn't imagine -18 degrees farenheit, that's about -28 degrees celsius which is what we go by, that is cold. Remember me telling you how hot it's been here, yesterday it was 43 degrees celcius which is 110 degrees farenhiet. We are on total fire ban too. I live in the Mountains which is thick bush pretty much everywhere but doesn't ever go much below zero in our wintertime as overall this is a pretty dry hot country with not too many snowfields except down south.

Aussielad I just finished telling my wife that when the kids are gone I will be moving somewhere that has at least 10 months without snow and ice and cold weather!!! Got any space for me down under?

Awesome bike farmalldanzil! Might hit 50 this weekend so I might be able to clean my newly acquired 1100!

Jarhead you and the family would always be most welcome down here. There are only a couple of places (Snowy Mountains) down south that really recieve snow in winter. Where I live in the Blue Mountains gets a little bit of snow for about half a day once every five or so years and that's only at the top of the mountains, that's normally accompanied with some black ice on the roads as well. Australia in mass is about the same at the U.S. but most of the interior is desert. Having said that I know guys who have ridden across the 'red centre' but they must have had a back up crew as there are some long rides between fuel stops, the coastal roads are a real site for the eye. Plus when you come here the locals might buy you a beer as it is much enoyed down here.
