Angry 2005 1100 Vstar Odometer

Hi,
I had a really bad thing happen to me this summer. Some idiot put a handful of sand in my oil. It completley clogged up the oil pump which intern siezed one of the cam shafts and it snapped...
The best solution was to replace the motor instead of the hours it would take to clean the motor and maybe find more damage.
I did find another motor, a 1991 1100 with only 4,200km. My damaged motor had 12,500km. Is there anyway to update my odometer to replect the mileage of the replacement motor?
My bike is a 2005 1100 Vstar classic..

Matbe do it the old fashion way with a drill. Connet the cable to a drill motor and let it fly. A couple of hours and it should be to whatever milage you would want.

In the old days, unscrupulous car dealer used this method to turn the odometer back a few thousand.
Good luck and ride safe

My feet on the pegs and lots of time to go where the road leads.

I don't believe there is any way to 'mechanically' change the odometer reading. If there is it would require the connection to a computer.
