October 2015 Bike Of The Month
2003 Road Star Silverado
Road Star Silverado
I built this bike from the frame up in February 2015 in 4 weeks. I rode it into the Hydrographics shop where I work and on Saturday and Sunday had it all torn down to a bare frame. This is the 1st motorcycle I have done from the frame up. I started out by sanding and painting the frame, swingarm and fork candy Brandywine. While the engine assembly was out I taped off all the chrome and painted the engine gloss black. I replaced ALL of the engine bolts with chrome allen heads. I installed a 21in DNA Mammoth 50 spoke wheel with dual rotors. I added chrome calipers and chrome allen bolts. Steel braided lines front and rear. I them Hydro dipped my open belt drive pulleys in Naughty boy pattern.
I painted Pearl white on all of the tins and dipped them in Vegas Baby pattern. After I did my tape out I painted the rest Candy Brandywine accented with silver and black stripe.
Tricky Air ride was installed in the back. Bad Dag stretched rear fender and 4 in stretch bags were added. A Harley front fender and fairing round out the front. All new chrome hand controls were added along with new grips. Contrast Brian Veney Design floorboards, bag latches and turn signal eliminators were also added. All stainless hardware was used in mounting.
I redid all of the wiring front to rear. Added Dyna 3000 ignition, carb mod, pumpless setup and K&N filter. All wire ties are chrome.
I know there is alot more but it would take some time to write it all. I love this Bike and will never sell it.
