just a friendly reminder to check your tire pressure. in the warmer months, air escapes your tires more rapidly.

the past few days, i noticed that my rear tire was noticeably on the flat side. seemed to happen all of a sudden one day. went to go air it up and the tire gauge at the gas station registered 0psi. that means the stick didn't move at all. that means zero air. second time that's happened to me. i put air in the tires at the beginning of spring, but just a few months later...0psi. i can't tell a different in how the bike feels between 25psi and 10psi. and the drop between 10psi and 0psi is probably pretty sudden so it's not like i was riding around on a flat all this time. but she's all aired up now and back to normal.

Good advice!

I generally check tires weekly. Now how does my girlfriend describe me? .. ANAL yeah that's the word. Thursday night getting ready for a Saturday ride about 2 1/2 hours each way, I was in the garage cleaning and prepping. Had her come out to stand by and steady the bike straight up while I checked the oil level. I had just changed oil couple weeks before and she said " you have to check it again" ? My words of defense were "it is called preventive maintenance". I am sure she was shortening that to a one word reason silently in her mind "ANAL" :D:D

That flashing yellow light means your sense of humor is due for service.
you just called me funny, and then funnier. but now i'm not funny anymore. this feels like when Norm McDonald got fired from SNL because 'he wasn't funny enough' but then became so damn funny that they hired him to host soon after.

i don't get it either, Norm

Great advice.

When I bought my bike it felt a bit squirmy and checked the pressure as soon as I got home. Sure enough, I was about 30 psi front and rear. These stock tires are some of the most sensitive I've ever ridden on for changing the way they feel and respond with tire pressure changes. The only air I've lost since that initial fill has been out the stem when I check the tires. I check them every weekend 'cause you just never know.

well it turned out that my psi got down so low because i caught another nail in my tire. last time i had 0psi was because of a nail in my tire. so it's not just me being absent minded of a gradual degeneration over the course of several months. and i frickin hate that it keeps happening to my dunlop E3 tires. they would last 20,000 miles if i could just friggin stop running over nails.
