Good Day All...
Had been looking for a bike for a while, but since I am now a County Employee, my income is rather humble. As luck would have it, a co-worker was selling his 2008 V-Star 1100 with 2480 miles on it ( yes in 2012 ) for $5,000.
This was do-able and after a short ride I was sold and so was the bike. So as soon as got the bike, I found this site and signed on.

This is the required 1st post so that you will be allowed to contribute to the forum. Lots of good info on this forum, though it does seem that some people have an attitude and don't read very well. But I guess that's the way it is anywhere.

My riding experience includes a hand-built HD hard-tail (back in the 70's), a Kawasaki Vulcan in the mid 80's, a Kawasaki Vulcan from 04 to 2010, and now this V-Star 1100. I have ridden mostly commuting with some regional tours in the Southeast and South. Have done some bike camping and think I may get back into that again.

Looking forward to sharing with fellow riders. 2 Down Brothers.

Keep the shiny side up and don't ride faster than your angel can fly.

Guess you all will have to kick me off the forum. I don't have my pics dumped on one of those hosting site. Maybe I'll figure out how to do this, sometime.

Wish this forum was set up to take the photos right from my computer. Guess we have to be careful of viruses, etc.

Thanks HD Eater,

Let's see if this Old Technophobe can hang a picture here.

Notice the natural wash and polish used. Thru extensive research and development, this custom luggage rack was devised and employed. Similar units are available for less than $100, I believe.

Attitude. Let's see...wings level, aircraft not turning, accelerating or decelerating, nor climbing or diving. Yup!! Still straight and level. I'm good:)

What you may perceive as "attitude" around here is that we only take serious things seriously. And there are damn few of those;)

Welcome and enjoy:)
