So im on the quest to find new bars that look nice & have a more bobber/bagger look but still allow stock cables to reach. I just bought the bike this past weekend and only thing I want to change for now is the bars!

Since i'm brand new to stars I would love some input and ideas from all you seasoned vets out there on what will work and what wont :D:cool:

Have a good day!

The handle bars are one inch in diameter.
So you're looking for lower than stock bars? I believe any bar will work out. Taller bars or risers can cause an issue with rerouting cables or buying longer. Shorter bars shouldn't be a problem with that at all. Beyond that it's up to your personal taste what style you get.

i went with 12 inch mini apes i have 6"over clutch with 10" apes you would probably need 4" over clutch.Throttle is different cause it hangs down 2" over would probably be fine.you dont need a push cable.and the choke you can relocate, i went with a 650 cable and mounted down next to the tank.

I've got a set of 11" that will work with stock cables. Thought the clutch is pretty tight. If you found a used Classic clutch cable (they are about 3/4" longer) it works perfectly. They are a one off custom made set painted black.

They need a new coat of paint but I'd let them go for $80 shipped. I might also have a Classic clutch cable I'd throw in for another $15....and I'd throw in the risers that I had machined to fit.

Let me know if you are interested......

Mick, is that the pcs monster pro exhaust in that last pic? If so what your opinion on it?

No....they are HK Side Burners. I like the look a lot, but I think I prefer the sound of a 2-2 pipe.
