Hello, I lost my left leg above the knee when a truck hit me on my once beautiful Stratoliner in Oct 2015. I am looking to get back in the wind by modifying another VStar. Headed from Chicago to Sacramento this fall, and will start the project once we're settled in.
Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your accident and I hope you're able to get back in the saddle. Takes a lot of guts to want to ride again after something like that. Wishing you all the best and please keep us informed of your progress.
I'm not sure what kind of modifications you plan on doing.
I would imagine, if your looking mainly at shifting, any with a heal shifter would be ideal, and change it out to an electronic handlebar up/down shifter.
Hi pj, welcome to the forum from East Tennessee. I as well congratulate you on getting back in the saddle and I'm sorry for what happened to you. I think you've gotten some good advice so far, and please keep us updated on what you go with. Glad you joined us!
