Bevo, you did say "i peaked emotionally at about 14" in another post, so maybe that explains the survey results.

Just had my wife take the survey. She road dirt bikes years ago but only as a passenger on the road. Remember I just bought a Harley to maybe flip it. Looks like I might keep the Harley. This was her results.

"You got: Cruiser Bike

General Harley, Honda Shadow, or Suzuki Intruder.
You prefer to chill out while riding, enjoy the sights, stick on or below the speed limit and like to sit back.

You might not be the most competent rider and don't get out too much, or you might be riding every day, with numerous tours each year - either way, you look to be suited to a cruiser bike.

You probably also like stupidly loud bikes.

For you, I suggest getting a Harley."

Oh you like being naked huh? You love the feel, the look and the thought of naked ladies.
A beautiful smooth naked body, no fairing in sight.

You love naked bikes, or should do, because this is the answer you got.

You generally do your own mechanical work, from light servicing to the full fix of an unknown problem. You know your bikes and like to ride a bike that's flickable in the corners, easily maintainable, can push to the limits and beyond and still be in A1 condition and you like to ride a bike that you don't mind getting dirty.

You work on your bike everytime you ride, the clutch, throttle, brakes, etc. So see, you do work on your bike.

Ok I just took the survey and gave honest answers. Results: Naked...not what I really expected and it suggested Kawasaki and Honda. I definitely don’t fit into the naked category, would never want to scare the neighbors and cause their children to be in therapy for years to come! Interesting survey though, thanks les for sharing this.

Well I ride a V Star 1100 Silverado. One thing I do like about Harley's is you hardly ever see 2 the same. My '05 came in Black or Raspberry and Black. Kinda like the old Fords - you can have any color you want as long as it's Black. Anyway looks like I'm on the right ride for me:

You got: Cruiser Bike

General Harley, Honda Shadow, or Suzuki Intruder OR EVEN A YAMAHA V STAR 1100 :).

The answer they gave me:

MV Augusta F4 Brutale, Triumph Bonneville, Kawasaki z1000, Honda CB1000, Yamaha FZ1N ... need I go on? Any beautiful naked bike is good for you! You know a good bike when you see one, and naked are where it's at.
Generally, speaking ... I love all bikes. And feel they do same thing. PUT A SMILE ON OUR FACES!
The fact is for the riding I currently do. A cruiser is my "style." That is not saying down the road I won't need a different style. But, until then .. a cruising I will go.

You love a beautiful section of twisties, you love the open road, you enjoy power and you do all sorts of riding. Commuting, touring, casual weekend rides, just to the shops - you do it all. You love any excuse for a ride and the feel of the bike between your legs. You wanted a bike that would suit for all of it, a comfy seat but a bit of a sporty riding style, you wanted a bike that sounded incredible and a bike that is noticed. Well, a sports tourer is the bike for you. A Triumph Sprint RS, BMW K1600, Yamaha FJR or the new Ducati Multistrada 1200S would suit you down to the ground. All capable bikes, all incredible and all ready to go places!

I would say this is not too far off. I'v been intrigued with the FJR for a while...

Was this poll developed by Harley??? It told me I like cruisers (true), that I like stupidly loud bikes (false) and that I should get a Harley (which is the one bike brand I ELIMINATED when shopping for my bike!). Happy with my V-Star 1300 which runs FANTASTIC now that the gremlins are gone. Will likely buy a Venture in the future but might consider another metric cruiser/tourer.

It was probably created just for fun, by someone with preconceived ideas about types of riders. It told me to get a naked bike in any of the brands I would never get a bike from in the first place, and the last time I rode a naked bike was about 35 years ago :).

I am a customized cruiser type, no loud pipes, relaxed, but want to be able to cruise at the maximum allowed speed, and go slowly on other roads and enjoy.

Apparently there is no such type :).

Kind regards, Wim
