I have gotten a fair amount of good info from this forum so I decided to join! I have an 07 v star Classic with an added windshield and highway bar. This is my first bike and I have been riding for a year.

kudos to you with an 1100 anything as your first bike!
Did you take riding lessons or the MSF course?
I know a person that bought a brand new HD 1200 sportster, rode it 90 miles home from the dealer,
pulled into the driveway, hopped off and tried to put the kickstand down with one foot....
dropped the brand new HD in the driveway. 90 miles on the odo.

Welcome from Eastern Canada. Bought my 1100 last fall - my first bike in a long time. Only got a few hundred miles on it but so far but I love it. I agree with Summer - it's just right.

New Member IntroductionsJust got a 2014 Roadliner after 15 years of owning 2 different 800 cc Suzukis. Haven't had much riding time yet on the Roadliner -that will probably have to wait for warmer weather. This looks like a good site to learn a lot about my new-to-me wheels.- 29
