So I saw a post from 2011 and out of my frustration from today, I bought one online.
Backup a bit.
I have an 02 1100 classic and was not loving the tiny look of the front wheel.
In hindsight it could have been the brand of tire. Podium??

Anyway, I bought the tried and true Dunlop 404. When I found a tire shop here in Chicago that would actually change it for me, the guy noticed that my wheel was 16 inches and my tire was 18.

I found a post on here from 2011 that said it would need no special modifications to use a custom front tire for a classic. I have no idea if this is true or if it worked out as I only found one post. If anyone has any experience, Tips or tricks, please don’t hesitate to chime in.

Thanks in advance for any help.

There are no modifications needed to install a "Custom" tire and wheel onto a "Classic", but you do need all the parts. The wheel is different, 16 inch on "Classic", 18 inch on "Custom" and the tires are different sizes. You would also need a "Custom" fender to complete the swap. So, there are special parts, you just need them all.
