Recently put diy pods with ru600, 150,20,3.5 turns pms(factory screws) I'm running speedster longs for exhaust

I live at 1100 feet above sea level.

It seems like at wot im a bit lean. If I'm accelerating at wide open, (in the upper rpm range 4th gear 60 mph)and back off maybe 1/8 I have an increase in power. I think this means lean? Has anyone ran into an instance where the knowledge base recommended settings did not work perfectly? I use a motion pro right angle tool to adjust pms screws, over the past couple weeks I have had it all over and it's the best between 3.5 and 4. By the way that tool is awesome, and can be had for the same money as pms thumbscrews and used on any bike.

The the KB has "recommendations" for jet setting.....they are there to get you close....and they are very close for most applications. However...if you want to be exactly on, you need to test all carb circuits and make necessary adjustments.

The best way to find out is to check the AFR at the throttle position in question. Then you'll know for sure......anything else is just going to be a guess. If you want to guess...just put bigger mains in there and see what happens.

Yea I'm definitely at the guessing stage now. I sold all my racing stuff so I no longer have an afr probe. I am grateful for the "recommendations" given by the kb. If anyone has any personal experience on the subject, I am fishing to see where other people ended up on their main jet size. So I have an idea how big I might have to go.

I've run everything from 162.5 to 150. Thinking of dropping down to 147.5 next time just to see what happens. I didn't really notice much...if any...change in performance.

Obviously the critical setting is on the needles since that is where you do 95% of your riding. I've never worried too much about the mains, as long as I know I'm a little on the rich side...I'm ok with it.

If you really want to get the bike dialed in...go make some passes on a dyno that has somebody that knows how to run it. That is the only way to know for sure where you need to be. Like I said earlier, anything else is just guessing.

Ok cool. I might move the needles around a little before I order any more jets. And to your point. Wide open isn't too critical cause I'm almost never there

You did add a shim to the needles when you did the jets?
