Its winter here in Ontario Canada and decided to do some upgrades/maintenance as my vstar 1100 is now parked for the winter.

I removed my carbs for an annual cleaning and reassembled. After reassembly I noticed a small brass pipe/tube approximately 1/2" in length and 1/4" in diameter.

I have tore the carbs apart two more times and reassembled and can't find the location anywhere.

It is possible that the part isn't even from the carbs but I am looking for some reassurances prior to putting back in the bike.

Any thought?

maybe leftover from the AIS kit

Coreless, I'm pretty sure the cylindrical part you have left over from your carb project is actually a tool or universal part from the AIS removal kit. My Roadie kit had one and pics of the kit shows what appears to be what you have.

Great bike that V-star 1100 I had one for a couple of years, good power and handling, fantastic brakes. I was forced to trade it in I could not ride it for more than half an hour at stretch due to the riding position which was killing my back. That being said it was not the bikes fault it just did not fit me.
