I moved up from a 650 V Star to a 1600 Road Star. Haven't had the bike long, so since the weather here in the midwest has been either snow, rain, cold or all three, I have only rode the bike twice. I noticed that it pops when shifting threw the first 3 gears, like it is hitting the limiter. It does have BUB exhaust and aftermarket air filter too. Is the limiter adjustable or would I have to buy an aftermarket limiter? Or is there something else I can check? Thanks gang!!

I often see people talking about removing or disabling the AIS after changing exhaust and air intake. AIS Air Injestion System injects a little air into the exhaust to burn off unburned gas. Sometimes after changing exhaust of air some poping is heard. Don't think it is real important one way or the other. Unless it bothers you.
