Year: 2008
Make/Model: Yamaha V-Star Custom
Eng size: 650
Modifications: Vance & Hines Short Shot pipes and sissy bar
Accessories: Skeleton arm mirrors, Kuryakyn Zombie Pegs, custom freedom brake fluid cover
Length of time to build: unsure about this. I did not build it.
And the story/inspiration/additional comments: I bought this bike from a guy February '12 who was being forced by his wife to sell it. She gave him the old ultimatum of "it's me or the bike". I got it for a steal! Blue Book was around $4,200 and I snagged it for $3,700. This is my second bike, and I've been riding now for almost 2 years.

Ya know, I like the looks of no floorboards, but they're so dam comfy, I won't give mine up. Gettin' old aint for sissies!
I'm sure floorboards are super comfy, but I simply do not like the looks of them. IMO, they "age" the bike.

My pegs are wide in the middle, so they aren't bad.

The floorboards don't age the bike, the FMAWG on it does (Fat Middle Aged White Guy)
Mid-life crisis-
Me: Bike or Mistress
Wife: What do you think?
Me: Mistress it is!
Wife: (collapses into helpless laughter)
I have a bike

Good looking bike Zombie girl. Good choice and a steal.
I'm a proud owner of a 2009 Custom. Unfortunately had to remove my Cobra pips because I had burned through the top pipe. Lesson learned - rejet. Thanks to KS for help.
Reinstalled stock pipes and painted them black.
