I searched the forum but didn't find a thread about handle bars for the Deluxe, so it may have already been discussed.
The Deluxe has the fairing and bags.
I'm 5' 7" and about 130 lbs. I've decided the handle bars are too far apart and not close enough to me. They seem a little low too. I'm just stretching too far and my upper back/shoulders ache after 200 miles or so. I didn't have this problem with my 750 Honda Shadow. Yesterday I rode about 10 miles on the highway scooted forward. It was better, but still felt too far apart.
Because of the fairing, does anyone know what my options are and how to figure out which out is best? I know I don't want mini apes, or anything like that.
I have seen the posts about Shannon. Maybe I should just give him a call?
Input is appreciated.

I have the same issue, Im 5 ft 7 as well but ad 60 lbs , anyways apparently a low cost cure for this is to swap out our handle bars for a a set from the Yamaha venture or tour deluxe! Im gonna give it another season and I if get that pain again I will do the swap! Good luck. PS I also had a 750 Honda and 900 Vulcan with no issues.

Hey highlander613-
I just ordered some Flanders Medium handlebars. Was a hard decision. Almost got the RSTD's that most people get, but I just didn't think that 1 inch on each end would bring my hands in enough.

Will take the Flanders to my Yamaha dealership and have them swap them out. I'll post back here in a few months and let you know how they are working.
