Have a new to me 98 Road Star Silverado 1600. Has just user 24K miles. Looks to me like different slip on exhaust tips, but otherwise stock. I've had it for about 1000 miles now, and it has had three or four occurrences where the bike has not wanted to turn over. Found the last time (this past weekend) the cylinders were full of gas when parked. Last rode it about 36 hrs prior, in about 70° temps. After I pulled the plugs and dried out cylinders, it runs like a top. Anybody got ideas??? Thanks.

Congrats on yer new ride. Sounds like float valves on carbs leaking. I would suggest turning off fuel shut-off valve on tank when ya park the bike, if ya don't already. You can try tapping on the lower carb body to try and unstick it, them? Or could just be a little piece of something stuck between needle and seat. May have to pull carbs and clean em up or rebuild. Good luck.

rebuild your carb or have someone do it for you
your float valve is letting fuel into the carb after it is full.
this can really wreak havoc with your oil
and trash your engine.
after carb build change her oil and oil filter
