The AIS was already removed when I bought the bike, but the elbows were left in with little caps welded on the ends. I decided to remove these eyesores and plug using spent .45 shells. The rear one came out with a little work and the casing went in perfectly. I was working on the front when.....SNAP...that sucker broke off flush with the head...CRAP! (actually used other words, but have to keep it clean here)
Tried easy outs, but they don't work well with something that ain't threaded. Has anyone had this happen or knows someone that can help? Don't want to drill because of the shaving factor. Thanks

Ok after consulting my engineering hand book. Here are my findings:

Find a tap that fits the hole.
Fill the flukes with grease.
(that will catch the chips)
Tap the hole
Put a bolt in it
Glue your 45 acp or long colt over the bolt.

No tap to fit?
Fill a drill bit with grease.
Drill it
Do 3 4 5

No charge for cobble advise
