Hi all. I have a '07 650 V-Star classic and am considering purchasing a suitable trailer for it later on. Any experiences and advice from others who have 500 to 750 size bikes would be greatly appreciated.

It does seem like a lot for a smaller engine. Would a pair of bags and a sissy bar bag or trunk do the trick for you? I have only seen trailers on bigger bikes.

Sugar Bear does think your ride is a bit small for that, more so if you are ridin 2 up, rethink maybe? Just a thought. Ride Safe.

I don't see any reason why you can't pull a trailer with the 650. I've seen 500's pulling trailers all over the place. I wouldn't pull a trailer constantly with the 650, but it can be done. If it weren't possible, they wouldn't sell a trailer hitch for the 650. You can pick up a small trailer from Harbor Freight pretty cheap and one of those plastic clam shell roof top cargo carriers.

I had a '06 V-Star 650 Classic and had no problems pulling a trailer. There is not a lot of power with a small bike but, as long as you don't try jack rabbit starts, you should be fine. Don't think I would pull riding two-up though.
