I just bought a used 2005 Road Star Silverado. I am looking for the aux light switch. Neither the owners manual or the Clymer's shop manual mention them. The local dealer said they come on with the headlights but supposed to have a switch too, but he can't find it either. Mine don't go on at all.

Did you actually look for the switch on one of the driving lamp housings? Yamaha uses a very small switch for this application and it may be easy to overlook, especially since they mount it at the bottom, inside of the housing. I have owned Silverado's since 1999 and every one with Yamaha factory installed, or dealer installed driving lights had the switch where I mentioned above. If yours isn't there, you may have someone's homegrown switch installation, located in that "secret" place. Good luck!
