So this weekend was pretty big for my family. My son got his motorcycle endorsement and my wife got a new bike. Damn this is an expensive hobby. LOL okay lifestyle. My son is all the way to the right in the pic between the guy with the red sweatshirt and the man on the far right end. The man on the far right is the MSC instructor and his son is on the far left. His son just go this MSC instructor certification. The wife is becoming a Harley Snob as one of our Harley riding friends put it. She got a 2018 Road Glide Special. 115th anniversary edition.

You cannot buy a new HD Road Glide Special and then complain in jest that MC riding is an expensive hobby
anymore than you can buy a new vette and complain that cars cost too much :^)

I have to give HD credit, they are a major supporter of MSF training - my cousin was a instructor for his entire adult life and was always associated with a HD dealer.

thats pretty cool.

That is one thing Saturn did well at their dealerships: when you went to pick up your new car, every employee in the building came out and personally showed their thanks for buying a car from them.

Yea, what is REALLLY cool is when a "graduating" MSF class comes out of the back room they start a buunch of the bikes inside and rev them and blow the horns making it a big deal..LOL Yesterday when my son came out they had me on one of the bikes doing it with them. So much fun, so many fumes inside the dealership. LOL

Congrats on the great weekend. Sounds like your garage might be getting a little full. If you need some parking room just let me know. I would even take them out from time to time to keep in good operating condition. But really, that is a wonderful weekend. Hey, will the wife let you ride it?

I gots plenty of room. Yes she will let me ride it any time she wants. I can ride it out of the shed for her or into the shed at the end of the day for her.

So exciting. How old is your son, NGM? - I'm with @nurtaeff, I said, "Dammn", when I saw that Street Glide...Road Glide? - That is a sweet looking bike, and I love that denim paint job, (at least I think Harley calls it denim instead of matte.)

Congrats all around!
He is 17 and yes it is a Street Glide Yup it is called Denim. She loves it too. I am going to hate it because it has to be washed with special cleaners, I cannot wash my bike next to it or use the same sponge.

I believe it is a Street Glide, Road Glide has frame-mounted fairing.
You are 100% correct, not to be confused with the Electra glide which comes with a tour pack and lower fairings.
