Anyone had to change them yet? 23k and I am starting to get a squeak. Any quality aftermarket pads available?

Edit: I just went and checked them. They're OK. I cleaned them. Hopefully that will take care of it.

If you still have them off here's another possible squeak place.

FYI,
You can change the SVTC brake pads without removing the caliper. There is a pin that runs across the top. pull the clips out that hold it, remove the pin and you can pull the pads out.

For those who need to replace their brake pads:

The factory Yamaha brake pads are some of the best pads made, no reason to purchase aftermarket pads and risk a performance degradation with the brakes.

The Yamaha genuine front pad part number is 2DF-25805-00 you will need two sets one for each front caliber.

The Yamaha genuine rear pad part number is 2DF-25806-00 you will need one set of this one for the single rear caliber.

These Yamaha OEM pads not only provide great performance but they last a long time as well.

I used to have to change brake pads on my Victory and Harley every 14,000 to 15,000 miles. Stay with the OEM Yamaha brake pads.

Thanks for the part numbers. Saves me from having look them up.
